The book i’m reading: Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse.
Steppenwolf, or Harry as he is called in the novel, is an outsider, a loner.
Harry dislikes the bourgeoisie, even though he is one of them.
That’s as far as I got, I stopped to read The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra.
I read Steppenwolf back in the early 1970’s anyway so there’s no rush.
The Tao of Physics is subtitled, An Exploration of the Parallels Between Modern Physics and Eastern Mysticism. I had a copy before, but lent it out or gave it away.
Capra’s book was read by young physicists from the mid 1970’s. It helped blend the concept of Quantum Mechanics, Buddhism and Taoism for them. The East and West were potentially one. The dilemma of what to do about the length of their hair was solved, they simply put it into a ponytail.
